TECNO has launched its first-ever foldable smartphone, the PHANTOM V Fold 5G, at a star-studded unveiling ceremony in Mumbai’s JW Marriott hotel. The event was graced by Ayushmann Khurrana, the brand’s ambassador, who has played a vital role in establishing TECNO as a disruptive smartphone brand among Indian youth. The PHANTOM V Fold is part of TECNO’s flagship PHANTOM product line and marks its entry into the foldable device market.
Priced at ₹88,888, the PHANTOM V Fold 5G is equipped with the industry’s first full-sized fold with a 7.85″ 2K+ LTPO display. It boasts a dual-screen display and a 5-lens Ultra HD camera system, promising an immersive visual experience and exceptional image quality. The smartphone has two colors, black and white, and a back cover made of renewable fiber material from plastic waste.
The PHANTOM V Fold 5G aims to enhance user experience in various smartphone aspects through its flagship dual LTPO screens, offering a 10-bit display for sharper and more detailed visuals, and an adaptive 10-120Hz high refresh rate. The smartphone features the most advanced MediaTek 9000+ 5G processor based on 4-nanometer fabrication, a 5000 mAh battery, and a 45W charger. It runs on a specially designed HiOS based on Android 13, which offers features such as split screen, parallel window, smart touch, multiple windows, and seamless multitasking.

The PHANTOM V Fold 5G is available for pre-booking from 22 April and comes with a free trolley bag worth ₹5,000 for a limited stock. The phone’s on-purchase consumer offers include a free protection plan worth ₹8,888 and a cashback offer of ₹5,000 available with HDB Financial services. Amazon buyers can also purchase the phone at ₹77,777 for a limited stock during the early access sale from 12 April.
